TWO YOUTHS ARRESTED.
ONE WITH AUTOMATIC,
HEAVY BAIL FIXED.

CHRISTCHURCH, this day
James Lindland Anderson, aged 18, and Maurice Hamilton Gregory, 17, were to-day remanded for a week on a charge of being found by night without lawful excuse on premises in Papanui. Road. Bail was fixed at £500 for each, with sureties of £500. The police said Anderson, when arrested, had an electric torch and Gregory had an automatic pistol with one live bullet, also a sandbag, a tyre lever and a piece of black cloth.
