Philip Yale Drew, the actor wlio was the central figure in the Heading- murder case, is no longer a local idol. The orgy of hero-worship ceased as suddenly as it began. Producers had been tumbling over themselves for his service. He had been offered £60 to appear for live minutes in a talkie film, but had decided nothing yet. It was easy to commercialise his publicity, but that was the last tiling lie intended to do.
