WORK FOR WAIHI MEN.
TWELVE ON MATANGIA ROAD. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.); WAIHI, this day. The Mayor has been advised that twelve of the Waihi unemployed will b© placed on the Matangia Road formation works in about a week's time. This will absorb the most urgent cases. The works will be within easy distance of Waihi. Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P., has informed the Mayor that the Minister of Public Works states that where no branch of the Labour. Department exists, the local post office acts as labour bureau. Consequently from now on all local unemployed will be required to conform with this regulation.
