Sir H. Wilkins To Join Whaler At Deception Island. ANTARCTIC EXPLORATION. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) CAPETOWN, October 11. The 324-ton whaler William Scoresby, owned by the Government of the Falkland Islands and flying its flag, left Simonstown last night for the South Shetlands and the Antarctic. Sir Hubert Wilkins will join the vessel at Deceptipn Island, where he has two seaplanes. . With the object of locating shoals of whales Sir Hubert will explore thy Antarctic coast and look for possible whaling bases.
