ICE YIELDS BODY.
AFTER 83 YEARS. Eighty-three years ago Norbert Mattersberger, 32, husband of Magda, and father of Fraiiz Otto, failed to return to his cottage in the village of Kals one day from the Avoods, where he won his living hunting game. A rescue party from the village decided he had been caught in an avalanche of ice. .Recently Mattersberger returned home just as he left it that day in 1846. The glacier had given up its prey. Although clean shaven when he left he had a twoinch beard when a party of hunters found him on the edge of the glacier. The body, clothes and weapons were in a perfect state of preservation. Franz Mattersberger is now 86. His father was buried at Kals in the evening, while grandchildren and greatgrandchildren mourned at his grave.
