. DAUGHTER'S APPLICATION. In an oral judgment in the Supreme Court yesterday Mr. Justice Smith increased the allowance of Annie Pollock {Mr. J. J. Sullivan), under the will of her late father, William James Courtney, of Ponsonby, by £60 a year. :. : His Honor said that the estate, in both capital and income, was large enough to meet all claims upon it. The case was one in which there were no competing moral claims. The benefits that the plaintiff derived from her father until his death could be valued at £7 a week, said his Honor, and it was reasonable to suppose that he thus discharge.-! to the full his moral-obligations to her. Seven pounds a week meant £364 a year and, as she was already receiving *£304 from the estate, he would make an order increasing, her income from it by £60. This would take effect as from November 29 1925. Such payments and the costs of. the case would be taken from the residuary income, of the estate.,
