WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

SNELLGAR—WEBB. The wedding took place on Wednesday, at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Hamilton, of Miss Veronica Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Webb, of the Waverley Hotel, Hamilton, and Jack Snellgar, also of Hamilton. The bride, who entered the church with her cousin, Mr. J. Battersby, was daintily gowned ill ivory georgette, embroidered in seed pearls, with a flared overskirt of silver lace, caught to the waist with larger pearls. The tulle embroidered veil which formed the train was held in place by a strand of orange blossom, and she carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses. Miss Edie Webb was chief bridesmaid, and was dressed in lavender crepe de chine, with silk lace overskirt. Her bouquet was of lavender shaded flowers. There were two other bridesmaids. Miss Marie Webb's dress was of mimosa crepe de chine, and Miss Cora Taylor was dressed in Betty blue crepe de chine. Both dresses were trimmed with lace. Each carried bouquets to tone. Two little flower girls also attended, Miss Josephine Webb and Mies Lily Wallace, the former dressed in shell pink crepe de chine, and the latter in Nile green georgette. Mr. Quill attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony the reception was held in the Haeremai Tearooms. The bride's mother received her guests wearing a navy Bengaline frock trimmed with fawn georgette, and navy pandan straw hat. Among the guests were Mrs. Battersby, Mrs. W. K. Tugby (Auckland), Mies Dulcie Evans, and Miss Banks.

SHAW—McPHAIL,

The wedding was recently solemnised at St. Matthew's Church, Auckland, of Miss Emily McPhafl, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. McPhail, of Harbour View Road, Point Chevalier, to Clifford E. Shaw, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Shaw, of Pompallier Terrace, Poneonby. The Rev. Canon Grant Co wen officiated. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. A. G. McPhail, and wore a very dainty dress of white chenille georgette and train of silk georgette, beautifully embroidered arid trimmed with sprays of orange blossom and silver, with the usual veil held in place with a coronet trimmed with clusters of orange blossom over each ear, and carried a pale, pink and white shower bouquet. There were two bridesmaids—Miss Clara McPhail and Miss Sylvia Shaw, the former wearing a frock of blue crepe de chine, with J blue and lemon hat and bouquet, while the latter wore a frock of lemon crepe de chine with lemon and blue hat and bouquet. The bride's train was held by Master Eddie Croad, nephew of the bride, and Miss Althea Shaw, sister of the bridegroom. The little page boy wore a suit of white satin, and the little flower girl wore a dress of pale pink silk georgette, and carried a basket of pink flowers to tone with • the frock. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Reg. Thomson as best man and Mr. J. Parkes as groomsman. After the ceremony over seventy guests assembled at the Domain Kiosk, where the reception was held. Mrs. McPhail received her guests wearing a frock of navy blue marocain and beige wool lace, with hat to tone. Mrs. Shaw was in grey crepe de chine, with hat to tone. ;j,
