WRESTLING TITLE.
RETURN HATCH AHRANGED. EKLUND AND VANCE. Arrangements for a return match between Clarence Eklund and Farmer Vance for the light heavy-weight wrestling championship of the world were finalised this morning. Eklund, the nakler of the title, deposited £100 as a guarantee that he would appear, and Vance put down £30 as a deposit on the sum of £400 asked by Eklund for again risking his title. Vance is to put up the remaining £350 by 3 p.m. on Monday. The match 'will take place in the Town Hall oil Monday week, October 21, and the men are to weigh iii between 7.30 and 8.30 o'clock on the evening of the match. Advice from Wellington states that Wai. Johansson's opponent oil Monday night will be Marraci G-ardeni, who has been in the capital city for some weeks. R was originally arranged that Vance should meet Johansson, but owing to injuries received in his match with' j Eklund, the Canadian was unable to i fulfil his engagement. A telegraph message from Cliristehurch this morning stated that Eklund j and Alley would wrestle there on Labour I Day, October 28. When the message was referred to Eklund, he said he knew nothing about it.
