NORTH SHORE CLUB. Members of the North Shore Cricket Club held their annual meeting last evening, Dr. Bennett presiding over an attendance of 50. According to the annual report the genera standard of cricket in the club was high last year, especially in the junior grades, m which there were some verv promising players. The senior B grade championship was won by the club's A team, which was undefeated during the season. The third grade team was bracketed with W.Y.M.I. its winners of the third grade championship. An agreement had been made between the club and the Domain Board whereby the groundsman now came under the control of the club, so that good match and practice wickets were expected during the coming season. The ladies' committee deserved great credit for its splendid efforts in the tea rooms and also for taking up collections. The takings brought in £11 to the clul> funds, and one of the, duties of the new committee would be to arrange for the tea rooms to be renovated.

The balance-sheet disclosed a balance of assets oyer liabilities of £223 l!)/2j. Trophies won during the season were presented as follow:—President's bat, for most consistent attender at practice, W. J. Coates; Vercoe Cup, for best bowling performance in senior A team, H. Webb; Mr. Woolley's bat, for best fieldsman in senior A team, D. Webb; Mr. Jackson's bat, for batting average, third grade, I. Clcal; Mr. A. M. Ilowden's bat, for bowling average, third grade, A. Davles. D. Webb was also presented with a bat for the best fieldsman in the Auckland Colts touring team.

The following officers were elected:— President, Dr. Bennett; vice-presidents, same as last year, with the addition of Messrs. T. Eyre, W. R. Jaggs, W. CassellsBrown, ,T. Anderson, T. Mackey, S. Coldicutt, H. B. Cooper; secretary, Mr. T. Smith; treasurer, Mr. E. Smith; hon auditors, Messrs. A. E. Wilson and Eyre; club captain, Mr. W. J. Coates; delegates to Auckland Cricket Association, Messrs. Coates, Jackson, Saunders; member of Auckland management committee, Mr. G. Jackson.

HOWICK CLUB.

The Howiek Cricket Club held its annual meeting Inst evening, the president, Mr. Cooper, presiding over a good attendance of members. The secretary was instructed to get in touch with all neighbouring country clubs with the purpose of forming a country association for the playing of whole day matches. The report of last year's activities and balance-sheet showed that the club had had a very satisfactory season. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. J. Crawford; president, Mr. W. Cooper; vice-presidents, same as last year; secretary, Mr. J. A. Kyd; committee, Messrs. Warin, Ilaslip, Phillips, Cooper, Litten and Yearn; captain, Mr. G. Warin; selection committee, Messrs. Warin, Ifyd and Ilaslip. Arrangements were made for big improvements to the pitch, outfield and pavilion. A special vote of thanks to those ladies who assisted last season was carried with acclamation.
