SOLD BY CHINESE. FINE OF £2 IMPOSED. Charged with selling unwholesome vegetables, Ah Kee pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day. Ah Kee's counsel said Ah Kce bought some sacks of potatoes from the markets and found that most of them were bad. Ho kept them for a week and then returned them. "That is so, but the trouble was he placed good potatoes on the top of the bags and left the bad ones underneath," said Sub-Inspector McCarthy. "Over 80 per cent of the vegetables were bad."
This offence cost the Chinese £2 and costs.
