FREE PETROL.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.; CHRISTCHURCH, this day. In tne event of the Minister of Internal Affairs upholding the decision of Mr. La wry, S.M., that the petrol seized by the chief city inspector of langerous goods at the oil store fire in Carlvle Street shall be forfeited to the Dity Council, the free petrol thus obtained ivill be sufficient to last the council for i period of tliree months, and will save it an expenditure of £750.
