BARE-LEGGED ESCAPE.
Girls who go without stockings have had a narrow escape in Ellinwood, Kan. The council discussed everything from fire wagons to revival meetings when an ordinance against bare legs was suggested as a means of improving public morals. The ordinance did not reach a vote because, a reporter told the councilmen it would be peculiar if sockless aldermen passed an ordinance against stock - ingless girls.
