DISEASES IN STOCK.
With a view to combating diseases in stock, the Morrineville branch of the New Zealand Farmres' * Union has appointed a committee to report upon a scheme outlined at its last meeting by Mr. S. Burton, veterinary surgeon, of Hamilton, for the appointment of a veterinarian at a salary which would be supplied through the dairy companies by a reduction from milk cheques.
