LABOUR QUEEN DANCE.
The first dance in honour of the Labour Queen in the Birkenhead Fire Brigade Queen Carnival, was held in the Victoria Hall, Birkenhead, on Wednesday nifht. The Alonte Carlo dance was won by Air. and Airs. L. Kelly. The Labour queen, Airs. R. Godfrey, was m daffodil citronne crepe de chine, with an uneven hem line. Among those present were: —Aliss E. Ross, in scarlet crepe de chine with diamante relief; Aliss P. Gillman, pink floral georgette with shawl to tone; Miss P. Williams, lemon crepe de chine; Miss A!. Leathart, mauve crepe de chine; Miss A. Green, cream georgette and lace; Miss H. V. Alawkes, kingfisher blue crepe de chine with lace; Mrs. S. Green, navy blue silk georgette and diamante; Mrs. P. Pugli, black cliarmeuse with diamante; Airs. Freegard, pale pink ray de chine; Miss Hughes, blue taffeta with blue posy; Miss A. Clow, black georgette; Airs. Headland, navy georgette with diamante; Airs. Norton, black crepe de hine; Airs. E. A. Campbell, fawn crepe de chine; Airs. Alentzer, blue and gold floral crepo' de chine with black shawl; Aliss AI; Couldry, cyclamen taffeta and silver lace; Airs. L. Kelly, white crepe de chine and silver lace; Miss I. James, Bagdad pink silk net with uneveu hem.
