Mr. J. S. Brigham, town clerk, left for Wellington last night. Mi-. H. W. Crawford, of Whangarei, is in Auckland, at the Star Hotel, Mr. A. S. Bankart was a passenger for Wellington by the express last evening. Engineer-Commander K. E. Kemball, of HM.s. Diomede, and Mrs. Kemball are at the Grand Hotel. Major H. S. Robinson, chairman of the Melanesian Mission, arrived from the South to-day. • Mr. Justice Ostler, president at the Hamilton session of the Supreme Court, has left for Wellington. The Rev. A. F. Hall, vicar of lauranga, has been appointed vicar of the Cathedral Parish of St. John at Napier. Mr. G. H. Tucker (Gisborne), Mr. and Mrs. Bradney Williams (Tauranga), Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Robertson (Whangarei) are staying at Hotel Stonehurst. Mr. H. S. W. King, chairman of the Board of Managers of the Seddon Memorial Technical College, returned to-day by the Limited from Wellington. Professor H. Belshaw, professor of economics at the Auckland University College, will be a passenger to Wellington by to-night's expres. Mr. G. W. Wyles, signals and electrical engineer of the New Zealand Railways, arrived by the Limited this morning on an inspection tour. Mr. H. V. Hopkins, Mr. A. G. Johnston, Mr. A. L. Robertson (Wellington), Mr. B. Scannell, jun. (Napier), are at the Grand Hotel. Sir Frederic Lang, and the Hons. G. J. Garland, C. J. Carrington and Vernon Reed, M.L.C.'s, and Mr. M. J. Savage, M.P., were passengers for Wellington last evening. Arrivals at the Central Hotel are Mr. B. Svenson (Palmerston North), Mr. J. Mackay (Whangarei), Mr. B. Earnest (San Antonio, Texas), Mr. W. F. Ponder (Wellington), Mayor W. Brown (Norfolk Island). Guests at the Star Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Scarpe (Raetihi), Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Oudaille (Hamilton), Mr. J. Hewett (Leigh), Mr. R. L. Button, Mr. D. F. Lambert, Mr. J. W. Foley, Mr. G. Wyles (Wellington), Mr. J. R. Hooper (Sydney), Mr. A. Rankins (Oamaru), Mr. G. Hancox (Christchureh).
