N.Z. DEPORTEE.
Missing From Ulimaroa At Sydney. DETECTIVES' SEARCH IN VAIN. SYDNEY, September 10.
Policemen were waiting on the Sydney wharf this morning with a warrant for the arrest of a man who was deported from New Zealand by the Ulimaroa. However ho was nowhere to be found. Five policemen carried out an intensive search of the vessel, as it was believed he was concealed on board. This search proved fruitless. It is now believed that the deportee T either slipped overboard from the stern of the ship while she was berthing or disappeared stealthily among the crowd on the
wharf during the disembarkation of the passengers.
