THE OLD DOCK SITE.

It would be a step in the right direction if the City Council were to take twenty feet or more off the old dock site to widen that street running from the Sailors' Home towards the city markets. Two weeks ago one of those big buses was parked so that only eight feet of space was left between it and the kerb, while twelve feet away a car was parked alongside the kerb. That looked like asking for trouble. There is a continuous increase in the traffic along the street, and if the sections were built on as they arc pegged out on the dock site it would cause a congestion that would lead to a lot of trouble and accidents.
