MR. GEORGE HOSKING.
Tie death occurred at Papatoetoe yesterday of Mr. George Hosking, a resident of the district for the past nine years. Mr. Hosking was born in Devonshire, England, in 18T3, and was a son of William Hosking, of Newton Abbot, Devon. Nineteen years ago lie came out to New Zealand, and was engaged in farming in the Waikato for ten years before his retirement in 1920. While at Papatoetoe Mr. Hosking was a prominent member of the Papatoetoe Bowling Club, and for the past twelve months he had been a member of the local Town Board. He was also on the Papatoetoe Fire Board. Mr. Hosking, whose end was sudden but peaceful, is survived by his wife and by a daughter, Mrs. Tom Gardiner, of Opotiki, a son, Mr. Fred Hosking, of Kiki, Te Awamutu, and another son aged ten.
