SERIOUS CHARGE.
YOUNG MAN ARRESTED. ECHO OF EARLIER CASE. ACCUSED REMANDED. Arrested by Dotective-Sergeant P. Doyle and Detective Sullivan, a young married man, William Bobbett, was charged before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning, that on or about August 5 lie wilfully attempted to defeat the course of justice by endeavouring to persuade women to give false evidence at the hearing of a charge against Jessie Morris. The charge against Morris was one of unlawfully using an instrument. On the application of the police Bobbett was remanded \mtil September 19, on bail of one surety of £100.
