INDOOR BOWLING.
VISIT TO AVONDALE,
On Monday the Auckland Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association paid a visit to the Avondale Lodge, 1.0.0. F. They were welcomed by Bro, Blomley, president of the Waitemata Indoor BoAvling Association, a member of the Avondale Lodge. Two games were played before supper, and one game afterwards. Bro. Harris, president of the Auckland Association, replying for the visitors, thanked the Avondale brethren for a very pleasant evening. He particularly complimented Avondale on ♦heir lady players, with their aggressive skip; their play was well up to tournament standard. Next year's tourneys should see several teams of all lady players,-who would hold their own with most men's teams. Avondale had four men's, and one Avomen'g* teams, while the visitors played two men's, tAvo mixed, and one women's teams. The Open Full Rink Tourneye, the popular event of the year,j which gives anyone interested an opportunity of competing, by either entering a team or placing a single entry, will be held in the Ponsonby Drill Hall on Saturday, August 31, and September 7.
