PENSIONS SCHEME.
ADOPTION IN TARANAKI. T SUBSIDY BY GOVERNMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A pensions scheme, under the Employers 1 Superannuation Fund, set up by an amendment to the National Provident Fund Act last session, has been inaugurated by the proprietor and staff of the Taranaki "Herald and Budget." Mr. D. L. Cumbei'beach, who is touring the Dominion as organiser, states that this is the first newspaper office to adopt this scheme, practically- all those eligible I have joined,' and the contributions, with the proprietor's subisdy, total over £500 a year: ; The Government gives a subsidy amounting to 25 per cent of the contributions for aU pens-ions up to £2 a week.
