The Auckland League notified the dates for the Northern Union Cup as follows.—July 27 v. South Auckland: August 17, v.' Northland; August 31, v. Canterbury. A sub-committee was appointed to confer at the week-end with South Auckland delegates regarding administrative matters. The resolution of the Auckland League suggesting the restriction of senior reinstatements to two, was briefly diecussed and received, the council considering that such a rule would require an alteration to the constitution, whereas the question of readmitting a player was a domestic one for each league concerned and should be considered on its merits. In reply to an inquiry, the Inangahua League was advised that a registered player with one league required a clearance when transferring to another league. Inangahua League was given authority to take over, on behalf of the council, "the White Horse Cup, which was previously held by the Buller League.

A special letter, with a proposal to be- placed before the conference of English clubs in January, is to be drafted, and the managers' of the Australian League team, arriving in Auckland on Monday, are to be asked to give their support to the suggestions which involve a full recognition of the New Zealand League and the interests of the code here regarding conditions under which New Zealand players should be acquired.
