PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.

The Papakura Town Board met last evening, the chairman (Mr. JaS. McCall) presiding. Water Supply.—A number of residents and property owuars of Takanini wrote asking if the board would extend the water supply and for an estimate 'ot cost. With the object of furthering the interests of the scheme the board requested the petitioners to meet a committee from the board. The chairman, Messrs. Wood, Weir and McEntee delegated to meet the applicants. Butterworth Avenue. —The foreman was instructed to open the ring fence at one end of Butterworth Avenue and make the crossing on to Opaheke Road suitable for car traffic. Town Ranger.—The board decided to invite applications for the position of town ranger, and the foreman was given power to sue owners of straying cattle.
