HOUSE TOTALLY DESTROYED

ALARM GIVEN BY DOGS.

He went outside and found the roof blazing liercely. He lushed back inside, aroused his wife and child, and all three escaped in their night attire. There was no time to save anything, and, despite strenuous efforts on the part of the neighbours, the names quickly spread. The house with all the furniture was totally destroyed. Halsey Drive is in the more outlying part of the district, and there is no water which can be used for firc-iighting purposes. The dwelling is insured in the South British Office for £100 and the furniture for £1-30 in the same office.
