Last Dozen Winners of Principal

Events.

The three chief races on to-morrow's programme are the Winter Hurdles (second leg of double), July Steeplechase, and Winter Oats (flat). Winter Hurdles, Two Miles and a-quarter. In 191" when Leonta won Gladful was runner-up, the pair being eleventh and twelfth favourite respectively. Sir Fisher fell. Hon. E. W. Alison owned the 1920 winner, Slowcoach. Rorkc's Drift created a great surprise in 1922, —twelfth in order of betting. In 1925 Comical was second to an outsider in Lucullent. Nukumai scored twice. Auckland-owned horses have taken a prominent part in the decision of the race in more recent years. The last dozen winners have been: —
