ONEHUNGA POLICE COURT.

On April 20 last, Geo. Mitchell allowed a horse to stray in Mount Roskill, and when the ranger found it on the road another man named T. Nicholson attempted to take it from him. In the Onellunga Police Court yesteiday, before Messrs J. E. Cowell and J. E. Green, J.P.'s, Mitchell was ordered to pay 31/ and costs, and it cost Nicholson £3 11/ for his part in the affair. (Before Mr. F, H. Levien, S.M.) Robert J. Harris, who admitted that lie had gone behind with his payments for the support of his wife and children to the extent of £00 at 40/ per week, was sentenced to one month's hard labour, the warrant to be suspended n he pays 15/ per week to his wife and 2/(5 off arrears. Findlay Duff, who was £336 in arreai s on an order for maintenance of his wife, made in February, 192(5, was ordered to pay up or take three months' imprisonment with hard labour. Geo. R. Hall, £48 in arrears at 40/ per week in an order fo v ' the- maintenance of his wife and three children, was sentenced to one month's hard labour, unless lie pays a reasonable amount into Court forthv/itii.
