UNITED PARTY.
BRANCH AT PAPAKURA,
Last evening, in the Paragon Theatre, Papakura, a branch of the United party was formed. Mr. H. McEntee presided over a good attendance. - Ma 11. C. Baiilf, the party, organiser, addressed the meeting upon the United organisation at some length.
ill-. McEntee, in proposing that a branch be formed at Papakura, spoke of the great work accomplished by the late Richard Saxldon, assisted by Sir Joseph Ward. New Zealand in those days led tiie world, with i'-S advanced legislation, and now, continued the speaker, he rcjoiccd that again Sir Joseph Ward was at the head of the Dominion, and that our little country would again be the envy of the world for its progressive laws. The following officers were elected^ — Chairman, Mr. H. McEntee; vice-chair-man, Mr. J. Spinley; treasurer, Mr. W. Richardson, sen.; secretary, Mr. Joseph Rea.
