A message from Los Angeles, California, says Johnny Salo, of Passic, New Jersey, who arrived on Sunday evening, won C. C. Pyle's trans-Continental foot race from New. York to Los Angeles. His margin of victory over Pete Gavuzzi, a Britisli-born Italian, of Liverpool, his nearest competitor, was 3m 595.
