LOGIE HOUSE CHAT.

More Discussed Than Was Disclosed. SATISFACTION IN AMERICA. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) NEW YORK, June 17. The Washington correspondent of the "New York Times" says it is "dollars to doughnuts" that more was discussed in Scotland by Messrs. Dawes and MacDonald than was disclosed. General satisfaction is expressed in Washington with Mr. Mac Donald's remarks on the naval question, particularly his statement that other nations besides Britain and the United States are expected io take part in the discussions of the matter. Mr. W. E. Borah, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate, said yesterday: "I trust this is the beginning of real disarmament programmes. Other countries will have to co-operate." Mr. Dawes, interviewed in London as to the result of his conversation with Mr. Mac Donald, smilingly remarked: "I neither hope nor despair. lam extremely satisfied with our conversation. I found the Prime Minister a charming companion and a brilliant man."
