MILE HUN.

STARTING FROM WELLINGTON.

On June IS Miss Valmai Morgan, a young Wellington girl, will commence a T.-200-mile tour over New Zealand roads. Miss Morgan is a slight, fair girl and the car she will drive, when fully loaded with spare tyre, benzine and oils, etc.. will be over 30 times her weight.

She has had no previous mechanical experience and her driving ability is no greater than that of the average woman car owner. Her object m undertaking this tour is to demonstrate how any woman is capable of operating and con-

trolling the present-day car over long distances with the same ease and ability as members of the opposite sex. At the same time, she will demonstrate that long journeys may be undertaken j in the modern motor car, free from the j fear of mechanical trouble. : Miss Morgan will drive a standard model Silver Anniversary Euick, which will be exactly similar to those at present sold throughout New Zealand. Special benzine and oils will not be used and the engine of the car will in no way differ from stock models; The tour commences from Wellington on the morning of June IS. Miss Morgan will pass through Gisborne on the 19th. Rotorua on the 20th, Auckland on the 21st. down to Te Kuiti on the- 22nd. across to New Plymouth on tne 2,lrd and back to Wellington on the 24th.
