CHRISTCHURC'H, this day,
Westport is still isolated,
With the object of establishing communication, the Post Office this morning dispatched two operators with wireless experience, Messrs. Fahey and Fowke, in Moth aeroplanes, piloted by Captains Buckley and Burrell. It is intended to make a landing on the beach, and if ships have remained at Westport the operators will work from them. The 'planes also carried letter mail. Telegraphic communication between Christchurch and Greymouth and Hokitika was restored this morning.
