DISPUTED APPOINTMENT.
BOARD TO REVIEW POSITION,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A special meeting of the Waikato Hospital Board lias been called for next Thursday to review the applications for the position of architect to the board. Mr. E. G. Johnson, secretary-manager of the board, said the conditions of the appointment provided that applications from registered architects only would be considered. Mr. A. Macdonald's application was considered among the others, and when the ballot took place Mr. Macdonald received the largest number of votes and he was selected. As Mr. Macdonald had not complied with the conditions with respect to registration, under which the applications were called, his appointment could not be regarded as finalised. It was not the intention of the board to appoint an unregistered architect.
