DEPUTATION TO MINISTER

Complaining of the inadequacy of the dental service in the country a deputation of settlers from all over Whan"arei district made representations to ° the Minister of Education for extension of treatment. It was stated that the deputation represented 500 country children who were placed at a disadvantage of not being able to.receive attention at the Whangarei clinic, which is run by the Hospital Board under agreement 'with the Health Department. The Minister was sympathetic, hut Kn • ° U - i hat tllere Avere financial difficulties m the way. The principle-had been affirmed that every child up to a certain age should have treatment.
