A Misadventure

One Saturday afternoon recently live Wellington residents started out for a tramp in the bush at the back of Day's Bay. As they sat, alternately singing and talking to keep their spirits up and forget they, were without food and drink, one of the men remarked, "By jove, I wish we had a bottle of ' Baxter's ' with us. We would be sure then that we would not feel any illeffects from the soaking." "You're right," replied the other man of the party, "I wish we had it if only for the girls'' sake.
