MR. BADDELEY'S CAMPAIGN.

WAIHI, this day,

Mr. J. M. Baddeley, a member of the New South Wales Parliament, who was Minister of Mines-in the Labour Government ,addressed : a public meeting of miners last evening on the subject of the coal and timber workers' disputes in New South Wales. The Mayor, Mr. W. M. Wallnutt, presided.

Mr. Baddeley said starvation was rampant amongst the sufferers from the coal dispute, .and there were 50,000 mouths to feed.

Mr. E; Dye, president of the Ohinemuri Miners' Union, promised that the union Avould give assistance. The Mayor said .ha wag willing to support the union n the matter.
