Peebles took four wickets for 01, and Robins four for 72. Middlesex: First innings, 273 for nine (Hendren 74). Middlesex won on the first innings.. Glamorgan: First innings, 146. Leyland took five wickets for 44, and Rhodes four for 30. Yorkshire: First innings, 147 for five (Holmes 72 not out). York' shire won on the first innings. Somerset: First innings, 105. Geary took four wickets for 40. Second innings, 61. Astill took eight wickets for 23. Leicester: First innings, 126. Wellard took six wickets for 55, and White four for 44. Second innings, 42 for six. White took four wickets for nine. Leicester won by four wickets. Lancashire: First innings, 174. Ashdown took five wickets for 52. Second innings, 92 for one. Kent: First innings, 215 (Hardinge 86). Kent won on the first innings.

Gloucester: First innings, 184 for five (declared). Oxford: First innings, 223 for six. The match was drawn.

Cambridge: First innings, 337 for eight, declared (Block 108). Sussex: First innings, 266 for seven. The game was drawn.

Hampshire: First innings, 35 for four. There was no further play.

In a friendly match Essex made 154 (Cutmore 79). Barratt took four wickets for 29. In the second innings they made 108. A. Staples took three wickets for four. Nottingham made 211 (A. Staples 66- not out) and 52 for five. Nottingham won by five wickets.
