A Golfing Incident

The other afternoon a well-known civil servant had just said good-bye to his small son and gone off for a round of golf. Shortly after, the little boy was surprised to see his father return to the house and go to his room. "Why have you come back, dad," he asked. "Well, son, my throat is a bit husky, and as it is rather a damp, misty afternoon I thought it wise to put a small bottle of good old 'Baxter's' in my pocket.
