BREWERIES UP TO £3 13/,

There was a firm tone at the closing call of the week, though few sales were recorded. Recent quotations were fully maintained, and most variations were in favour of sellers. After the "Star" went to press yesterday Breweries advanced further, sales being made up to £3 13/. Wilsons Cement was sold ex dividend at £2 1/6. At this morning's call inquirers for Milne and Choyee shares, which have been ill steady demand at £1 6/, raised their offers to £1 G/3 for the £1 shares, which pay 8 per cent. Buyers of Victoria Nyanza advanced to £2 5/6, and for Pukemiros £3 2/ was offered. National Mortgage were asked for at £4 6/, an advance of 1/. The usual debenture quotations were restated, and a buyer came forward for Farmers' Trading 6V£ per cent debentures offering £94 10/. Interest Rates.
