Handicaps for the opening day of the Auckland Trotting Club's winter meeting willappear on Tuesday next.

So far Steel All has not shown up in the couple of races he has had in the Dominion. He is entered for the winter meeting in Auckland, and his engagements include the Adams Cup.

The horse impounded by the stewards after tbe last race at the Canterbury Park meeting, and which has been racing under, the name of Imperial Thorpe, but which it is" alleged is a horse that previously raced asßruce, is now located at Addington, and is guarded day and night by two men.

The New Zealand Sapling Stakes., which is being run to-day at Ashburton, is. the only two-year-old event in the trotting sport. Bryce did the hat trick, winning three years in succession, with Almriri (3.33), laurekarek'a (3:33 2-s),'and Kohara (3.32 1-5). Sir. H. F. Nicoll- had his third winner in 1925, when Nantwicli (3.39 2-5) was first home, and subsequent winners were Sir. R. Franks' Richore (3.31) and Sir. R. Fisken's Enawah (3.33). . GREAT NORTHERN DERBY.
