HALL FOR TE PUNINGA.
MEETING OF SETTLERS
MORRINSVILLE, Friday.
A meeting of Te Puninga settlers was held last evening to consider the question of the erection of a public hall. Mr. J. J. Patterson has offered to donate any part of his farm as a site. The principal question discussed was finance, and it was considered that a lean-to hall would suit the immediate needs of the settlement for social intercourse and that additions could be made later. A committee consisting of Messrs. Dakers, Henry and Wilson was set up to inquire into the cost of the proposed building, inspect likely building sites, and report within a week's time. ,
