YOUTH MISSING.
BOAT FOUND CAPSIZED.
THOROUGH SEARCH FAILS.

BLENHEIM, this day,
A youth named Redpatb, about 18 years of age, has been missing from a farm at Cape Jackson, Queen Charlotte Sound, since Wednesday afternoon. Heleft home in a small boat to procure travel from a bay about half a mile distant. Later the upturned boat was discovered, together with the youth's hat, and the oars and gravel boxes. Launch parties have been searching since, but though the coast for miles has be-en thoroughly combed no trace of the missing lad has been discovered. Eedpath came from Waipukurau early this year with his father, who is managing a farm for Mr. Rex McLauchlan, the Waipukurau county engineer.
