■ WAIPU DOCTOR RESIGNS. " (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The Hospital Board yesterday received the resignation of Dr. Hutson, medical officer at Waipu. It was reported that J-nn t aiP + ? ¥ dM ?* Club was £000 to the Hospital Board and that no meeting of the club had been held for several years The secretary was ill and the president so for some time. The board decided not to carry their responsibility further and no appointment will be made until after a committee from the board has visited Waipu and ascertained whether the club intends to carry on. Mrs. Donaldson questioned whether, now that such good roads were available, a resident doctor was necessary at Waipu, but Mr. Jas. D. McKenzie instanced the case of country people living in the backblocks where there were no I i'oads, '
