SHOT IN THE HEAD.
RABBIT SHOOTING ACCIDENT. PATIENT IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondt.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. On Sunday afternoon, while out shooting rabbits about six miles from Matamata, a young man, Mr. John Adamson, of Cambridge, was shot in the head with a pea-rifle bullet. He is now in Waikato Hospital. He was semi-conscious yesterday, but his condition is now improving. Adamson was out with a party. He, Tom Steen, and Jim Kelly were in single file, and shots were fired in haste when i rabbit jumped up. Adamson, who was in front, received the discharge of the pea-rifles carried by the others.
