MORRINSVILLE. The combined representations of the Morrinsville Chamber of Commerce and Mr. I'\ Lye, M.P., to secure a public slot telephone on the railway station, have drawn an offer from the Postmaster-General, Hon. .T. B. Donald, to install the convenience provided the public are prepared In pay 3d instead of the usual. Id. Strong exception was taken by die rhamher at last evening's meeting to what was felt to be an unfair and unwarranted imposition, and further efforts are to be made to secure for Morrinsvllle a telephone at; the same rate as that obtaining in larger ccntrca.
