CRIMINAL ESCAPES.

PATIENT IN HOSPITAL. MAY BE HIDING IX LUPINS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAXGANUI, this day. George W. Hastings, an habitual criminal, escaped, from Wanganui Hospital at 2.30 this morning. He had been sent there a week ago for treatment to his hand. Hastings, "who is about 54 years old, made a similar escape from the Wanganui gaol IS months ago, and he was put on bread and water for ten days. It is supposed that he is now hiding in the lupins at Castlecliff.
