TENNIS DANCE.

An enjoyable dance was given by the Mount Eden Congregational Tennis Club in St. Barnabas Hall, Mount Eden, on Thursday evening. This function marks the close of a very successful year for the club, and the committee anticipate further success next season, when new courts will be available to meet the growth of the club. The chaperones present were: Mrs. F. G. Blott, in navy and royal crepe de chine; Mrs. J. 11. Kinnear, black satin; Mrs. A. G. Lee, rose crepe de chine and lace; Mrs. B. C. Boberts, black crepe de chine and georgette; Mrs. A. Hooton, beige lace and georgette. Among the dancers were: Mrs. Allan A. Boberts, tangerine ring velvet; Mrs. Beg. Armitage, black velvet and sequins; Mrs. W. J. Goodwin, figured silver lame; Mrs. N. B. Alexander, black ninon, with cerise bow; Mrs. A. Hawking, gold tinsel, embroidered with rose; Miss M. Beale, pale blue satin with net frills; Miss N. Burcliam, sky blue crepe de chine; Miss R. Atkin, blue taffeta with silver posy; Miss Olive Council, eau do nil taffeta, with black applique; Miss Doris Layland, turquoise blue satin and georgette; Miss Maude Smith, cherry frilled taffeta; Miss E. L. Taylor, gold brocade and tulle, with shawl; Miss Marjorie Blakey, period frock of black taffeta; Miss G. Blott, apricot crepe de chine and floral shawl; Miss Jocelyu Demler, pale green beaded georgette; Miss Esme Yeoman, shell pink crepe de chine; Miss B.
