ROBBED THE DEAD?
MORGUE EMPLOYEE ARRESTED MELBOURNE, May 2. Constable Charles Stewart, who w-as employed in the Melbourne morgue as an orderly, has been arrested and charged with robbing dead bodies. The information alleges that he stole £4 10/ from the clothes of a corpse which had been brought to the morgue, and also a gold watch from another corpse, and that he then substituted an inferior watch. Complaints in the first place came from relatives of the deceased persons. Stewart was remanded until Mav 10.
