INCREASED REVENUE.
P. AND T. DEPARTMENT. FIGURES FOR MARCH QUARTER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tureday. A return published in to-night's ■'Gazette" shows that the postal revenue for the quarter which ended on March 31 was £458,193 and the telegraph revenue £483,838, a total of £942,031. For the corresponding quarter of last year the amounts were respectively £510,065 and £465,895, a total of £975,900. According to the returns for the four quarters comprising the financial year, the total revenue of the Department was £3,651,777, an increase of £168,310. The amount is a record. Postal revenue tfas greater by £39,625, and telegraph and telephone revenue by £128,075.
