PROTECTION OF WOMEN.
MEETING OF SOCIETY. The executive committee of the New Zealand Socictv for the Protection of Women and Children met on Monday afternoon,, the Kev. P. S. Sntallfiel'd presiding. The secretary reported that 2o new cases had been dealt with. Of this number 20 dealt with husband* and wives,. 12 with various matters, and two dealt with children. There had been 184 office interview®, and 11 cases had been sent to the solicitors. The inspector had paid 27 visits and spent seven mornings in the Magistrate's Court. A report from the delegates to the recent conference of the branches of the society was read- The annual meeting of the society was arranged for April 80.
