INSURANCES TOTAL £23,410.

In tjie past year the Hamilton fire brigade received 65 calls to fires. Of these only 22 were actual property fires. The insurances on the buildings where the outbreaks occurred totalled £16,187. The total loss by fire was £5747. The amount paid in fire insurances in the town was £23,410. This is £2000 lees than in the previous year. Mr. J. McKinnon was re-elected chairman of the Fice Board. It is his thirteenth term.
